We’re GDF Suez Energy North America, Inc.  (GSENA). We are involved in the development,  acquisition, generation, trading, sale and distribution  of electricity and natural gas; the importation and  storage of liquified natural gas (LNG); and retail  electricity sales and services to commercial and  industrial customers.

We are currently seeking an  Accounting Specialist - International, in Harris  County Texas.  In this key role, you will be responsible for the  Business Control function of multiple international  power plants located in Mexico. Duties include  month end accounting and tax reporting activities,  financial statement preparation, budgeting and  forecasting, and reporting for both internal and  external parties. Full monthly financial reporting  includes income statement and balance sheet  preparation in complinace with local Mexican  GAAP, International (IFRS) and US GAAP. 

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's  degree in an accounting field plus 6-7 years recent  financial, fiscal and audit accounting progressive  experience, knowledge of SIPRED and Mexico Tax  Authorities webpage experience, excellent  communication skills and computer literacy with  proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Word, and adhoc  reporting. Knowledge of Solomon and/or Cartesis  experience a plus, CPA & bilingual (English/Spanish)  candidates preferred.
